Answer» hi have a emachine T1742 the usb port is not detected ,i enabled the legacy usb in the cmos and it still dont work i ALSO install update DRIVERS and it still dont work How many ports (front and back) do you have? Do none of them work? You say you enabled "legacy usb" in CMOS Setup. Are there any other USB settings in your BIOS? If all else fails, one option to get USB is usb 2 card, PCIyes it show items under univeral serial bus , and it report working properlyTry this. Open Device Manager, right click on the USB items, and Uninstall them. Then, restart your computer and let Windows go through the Found New HARDWARE routine and install drivers for them. Now, see whether your ports work. If not, I suspect your motherboard has DEVELOPED a hardware defect that is causing the problem. In that case, the only solution, short of replacing the motherboard, is to install a PCI card, as I previously posted.i uninstall all the usb items and make windows find them back and it still not work . if i plug in my flash drive it light up but windows dont detected itDoes the flash drive work in any other machines ? ?And, do you have USB devices other than the flash drive? If not, could you borrow a USB mouse or keyboard or some other USB device and test it on your computer?yes the flash drive work in other machine, Quote If all else fails, one option to get USB is usb 2 card, PCIHave you clicked on the link above? |
