Solve : enclosures, hard drives, etc?

Answer»

I see in ADS, that there are hard drive enclosures?  Are these to place internal drives (whick are on the cheap) into and use as an external drive?  As someone who has not delved into the "interior" much, I was thinking this might be a way to go, but would like to use USB INSTEAD of hooking up lots of wires?  I know this SOUNDS very immature on computers, but have to get expertise somewhere?  Thanks

Yes.

That's how they work. You fit the drive into the enclosure, connect the power supply (a wall wart usually) then you plug the USB LEAD into the computer.

You can buy them ready assembled, they are called "external hard drives".
