Answer» We have just changed the ink cartridges on our printer and now when we turn it on the ink and paper jam BUTTONS flash alternatively.
We have tried unplugging it.
We need to be ABLE to move the cartridge bay but it won't let us do it as the lights are flashing.

And lo and behold, it says unknown printer error, and that you should contact the manufacturer.
However, i have found int he PAST that if the printer is off, and you are gentle enough, you can move the cartridge holder yourself with a small amount of force. as long as you grab it as far back as possible, you'll be sorted.Thanks for the reply. I have the manual but suspect that the time is up for the printer but just wanted to get ONE more job out of it. Will try to force it over - i was just really afraid of breaking it.
