Solve : Everyone from the USA should stop complaining about the price of "gas"!!!?

Answer»

I believe the list is about 90 days OLD...
Course it could be done daily for that matter...but the ffigure for the UK is very different to mine and im sure i worked mine out correctly with accurate, up to date information!i think i worked out the problem.
whereas i converted sterling into dollars, the price quoted in your table is in sterling with a $ put before it.
thats the only logical thing that makes sense to mepatio, you GOT a source for your list? I had a hard time believing boo's numbers too....... and there are actually 3.785 liters per U.S. Gallon. Not 4.54. You can take a few dollars off your figures.

the gallon's used were different
i'll give you the sources for my informationQuote from: boo on April 25, 2008, 07:02:34 AM

1 gallon of gas in the USA costs (average) $3.5/gallon

1 gallon = 4.54 litres

1 litre in the UK costs 114.9p

114.9p X 4.54 = £5.21/gallon

£5.21 X 1.98 = 10.3158

in the USA, you pay $3.5/gallon and IN THE UK, WE PAY $10.3 SO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PRICE OF GAS!!!!!

sorry, just thought I'd have a bit of a rant

ok, UK petrol price http://www.petrolprices.com/search.html?search=ha8+9tp

US petrol price http://www.gasbuddy.com/ (SCROLL down to find averages)

I'll re work out the values

ok so ive worked out the new values (using the US, not imperial gallon???) and it come out more reasonable

US gallon = $3.59
UK gallon = $4.32
At the gas station, next to my place, it's already $3.95, and number of OTHERS charge over $4.Quote from: patio on April 28, 2008, 09:16:01 AM

Caracas, Venezuela
$0.12

Don't forget, they have that semi-communist president there...he wants to show people how nice he is.
At the same time Venezuela's foreign debt goes into billions of dollars.Well, I read the topic heading again..

EVERYONE from the USA should stop complaining about the price of "gas"!!!

See in the USA if we are not complaining,we are not happy..... Quote from: michaewlewis on April 28, 2008, 03:05:00 PM
