Answer» i pluged my harddrive in my girlfriends computer put sum stuff on. then pluged it back into mine and all the FILES have gone. i put my harddrive into the college computers and all the files are there again. plug it into mine and there not there. but when i go to propertys on the hard drive its saying 50gb are being used. so the files are on the harddrive but i CANT see them. also i am on pcWhen you put the hard drive back into your computer, are you switching the jumper from slave back to MASTER? Maybe it's a SILLY question, but I know it can be pretty easy to forget to do this. TRY This In the meantime you can also check to see if your system is FAT 32 or NTFS by right clicking your C: drive and selecting Properties...
