my new Hitachi 1tB usb2 drive and WD 500 GB will not be recognized by Windows XP Home.
In both cases installation SOFTWARE is requested by the system.
In both cases I get the inf data is incorrect.
When I start the computer with the Hitachi connected, the system stopped in the "Set Up"and can not proceed.
In that case I have to disconnect the disk and restart.
Computerstore have no idea.
Is there any help?
Forgot to inform that both are direct, after CONNECTION to 4 other computers with Windows XP home, recognized and operabel.
Do you know if the system to which you are connecting supports usb2?the all have Windows XP Home just LIKE I have and support USB2Are the usb ports in the system usb2?
