My laptop is broken, and I desperately would like to get all of my PICS and other files off the hard drive. I went into comp USA, and had two computer guys telling me which external hard drive to buy. Needless to say, when I got home, the hard drive doesn't appear to fit properly.
It is a Hitachi Travelstar, model# IC25N060ATMR04-0, 60GB, 4200 RPM.
I am pretty competent in all aspects of computers, but have never had to use an external hard drive. I would love it if anyone could either help me figure out the best, hopefully inexpensive, external hard drive. Or any other SUGGESTION on how I can get my beloved files off of my laptop harddrive.
