Answer» why do my external HARD drive(buffalo) changing the letter everytime when i TAKE the USB off or turn off the hard drive or computer?what letter? LIKE the name it appears as in my computer?do U have any other removeable drives or devices? ur comp may just be assigning the hd the next available letter.Windows assigns drive letters automatically when the machine is started. If you have a removable drive or drives, the letters can vary depending on what is plugged in. |
