I believe as Broni did it may be locked down for external drives...Well, it'll take a few hours to get ahold of a different computer, but i'll try that. LIKE i mentioned before though, i was using this hdd just fine, and then a few hours later it decided to test my PATIENCE. Being a Marine this should make perfect sense.....

Some are somewhat EASY to open up to check the wiring is all seated properly.Nothing appears damaged, and in fact i have tried the drive with several different enclosure/readers. Sounds like it has simply failed...you could DLoad and run the diagnostics from the drive manuf. site to verify this.
