Answer» Looks like I got my 'just desserts' this morning.
After about an hour of troubleshooting, I FOUND out why I couldn't connect to my P2P network.
I am using a Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC. I ran Realtek's diagnostics program and every time I do a 'link' test, it fails.
I rarely use this NIC because I have a wireless connection that PLUGS straight into the USB port, I'm wondering if this could be why it doesn't work, because it is rarely used.
Now here's what REALLY puzzles me: If I run the diagnostics and leave the 'loopback' test on REPEAT and use a static IP, it will say connected but will not connect to the other computer. With the diagnostics program CLOSED, with or without DHCP enabled, it will say 'Limited or no connectivity' or 'Network cable unplugged'.
What's going on?! Can anyone help me with this please? Thanks!!

EDIT: It also says connected with the network cable unplugged LITERALLY and with the Realtek Diagnostics RUNNING!
