Solve : Finding Driver for Built-in Soundcard? |
|
Answer» Recently, I had just reformatted my Windows XP running Gateway computer. I was able to install my Graphic and Internet card without a problem, yet I noticed I did not have a sound and that it did not recognize my speakers. After looking everywhere to see why I did not have sound, the overall answer was "Install a driver for your sound card" No, don't "take a shot" at anything. You can find the model of your sound device in device manager. If you can't find it there download and run either Everest or Belarc AdvisorThis may SEAM like a stupid question though... Where can I find the exact model of my computer? Where it says computer, I see "Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz, 1.50 GB of Ram" Though that doesn't seam like it would be it. I computer is rather old and I don't see it on the site.Download Everest here: http://majorgeeks.com/download4181.html Open it, then CLICK Computer, then Summary. In the upper menu, go to Report>Quick Report-Summary Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post. Don't include anything under the line Debug - PCI |
