Solve : First Computer Build.?

Answer»

Hey guys, I just wanted to ask, im thinking of build a nice gaming computer ( my first ever) and i was wanting to know if my specs are going to be good enough... so here they are

1. Rosewill Black hawk mid-tower computer cases with 5 120 mm fans
2. Asus Sabertooth Motherboard.
3. AMD fx 8350 processor
4.G.skill 2x4 GB 1600 mhz ddr3 ram
5. Gigabyte 7870 HD 3 FAN gpu card 2 GB
6. OCZ ZT 750 W fully modular PSU
7. 500 GB WD blue 7200 rpm HDD
8. Asus CD/dvd Burner.
9.Cooler Master 212 + aftermarket cooler.
10.Arctic MX-4 Thermal Paste.
11. I also want to get a 2nd 120 mm fan for the cpu cooler making it a dual fan push-pull combo and I want to get another 140 mm fan for the case making it 2 top 2 front and 2 rear fans on the case...   Total cost is roughly $1350 in usDThat cooler master 212 is a really good CPU fan - unlikely you'll need anything else.

Those specs look pretty good. Personally I'd go with intel CPU and Nvidia GPU - looks like you are going with AMD and ATI... but thats more of a brand preference.

I would change the WB Blue to a Black for gaming. The blacks are HIGHER performance - and run hotter, but you have lots of fans so so probs there.

Looks like it's going to be a good build. Nice rig for the price - I'm green with envy lol.

RazorI would also recommend you for an Intel CPU, like the i7 or i5 along with a 2x8GB or 4x4GB of RAM. In terms of grapichs, that ATI should do just fine if you don't fancy an nVidia one. Quote from: Szulborze4d on January 10, 2013, 07:59:04 AM
