Solve : flash drive data retrieval? |

Answer» I had an .avi file and a Word document on a USB FLASH drive. I plugged the flash drive into the USB port in my laptop. When I tried to open the Word document, a dialogue box opened asking me if I wanted to have file fixed. At first I clicked on "no" but when I tried to open document I got the same dialogue box - so I clicked "yes." After a few moments there was a positive message saying the problem was fixed, HOWEVER, the document disappeared!! It was no longer on the flash drive. It just disappeared into thin air. I downloaded and tried a data RETREIVAL program (BadCopy) but nothing SHOWED up. Is there any other POSSIBILITIES to retrieve the document?Try Recuva...Unfortunately the result was that the file was "unrecoverable". I started from SCRATCH. Thanks for the help. |
