Answer» Hi all, I am not computer or scanner WIZARD, so I need help to GET a good but not over the top scanner. At this time I am using a HP scanjet 4470c which is 1200 dpi and 48 bit colour, (Just looked it up on the web) I have no idea what to look for in a scanner, is it the more dpi and bit the better :-? what I am looking for is a REPLACEMENT because I have Vista on the way and there is no drives for my HP. If so why not run a dual-boot XP/Vista setup...i'm running it now this way.

Before you go out and buy something please make sure that it is Vista compatible.
