Answer» I keep getting the failure (40) on boot up saying that the floppy drive fails. I think it is a communications ERROR but I have checked all cables and tried other floppies. The motherboard was good the last time it was used.And do other floppy DRIVES work fine?Error 40 is a cable error...replace and or RESEAT the cable...The Problem ended up being the motherboard actually. One of those WEIRD things, one time is good, the next time it fails. A new motherboard FIXED the problem. Thanks
