Solve : Format a new CD? |
|
Answer» So I placed a new fresh from the package CD-R in the D: drive (Thats the DVD-RW on this Computer). I then opened D: and clicked to add a new folder. It gave me a file TYPE error, So I figure it needs to be formated before I can use it. I go to command Prompt and type Now how do I close this topic? I don't require any further assistance. Mark it 'solved'I apologizes for being a complete moron. Ok! I'm the new kid. I'm sorry but I just do not see a "Mark this Topic Solved" button. Where do I do that? It's on a different page isn't it? I searched this page with a zoom in for ten minutes.....I can't find it. Please treat me like I need to read "Forums for Dummies". Really I don't mean to be a pain in the donkey, but somedays my post stroke brain just don't want to shift into second. There should be a solved button at the very bottom of this post. (green) Edit: Or maybe at the very bottom of your last post. But ALAS, there is not. On the left bottom I have page number and under that I have Home/Microsoft/Microsoft DOS/Format a new CD on the right I have three blue links and below that there are five oval buttons Reply Poll Un-Notify Send Topic and Print. The only green spot on the post anywhere is the emblem (TV Screen thingy) below your avatar to click for a personal Message i am logged in. I must have done something wrong in my profile page or something, Who knows? But I thank you just the same.Kermit, it's not you. For some reason the DOS forum doesn't have a solved box like all of the other forums topics do.HMM? I have a 'marked solved' button beside my 'reply' button in threads that I have started. I don't know but don't worry the whole thread will fade into cyberspace sooner or later and very few posters here actually mark threads as solved anyway. Maybe it's a post count thing where you can't mark solved until you have a certain number of posts recorded. I can lock the thread but I'd rather let it run to see if anyone can throw some light on this little solved problem. Edit: There you go, thanks rthompson. Was looking to see how to mark a topic as solved and could not find that option on a topic I started, either...maybe it has to do with the "newbie" status...no worries...just THOUGHT I would confirm this was my experience, too...No, just the forum in which it was posted. I moved it and marked it solved. |
