i have a clone motherboard and the capacitor on my motherboard is bust because i can tell from the solid liquid black substance coming out of it.what caused the problem was when i switched off the COMPUTER from the stabilizer.now when i switch on the computer, the light of the network port comes on and sometimes my powersupply and my cpu fan spins for 2 seconds and stops and when i unplug my power adaptor from the back of the power supply, it takes some TIME for the network port light to switch off.You have 2 choices:

Replace the MBoard...

Find someone in your area that does repairs at BOARD level...i'd suggest all NEW caps if the price is fair.

PS With a bad cap if you continue to attempt to use it you risk frying the rest of the components as well... Quote from: patio on January 02, 2011, 08:59:13 AM

I only see one choice Patio.  Replace the MB they failed for a good reason if it was just the ground pin a repiar would have been okay. Quote from: Slade on January 02, 2011, 04:25:31 PM
they failed for a good reason

Electrolytic capacitors fail for a number of reasons. Poor manufacturing quality, age, SUSTAINED high temperatures, excessive ripple on the DC rail (i.e. failing or poor quality power supply).
