Solve : Freezing Movie Maker.?

Answer»

Hey, my Windows Movie Maker is acting really UGH lately. It freezes up and lags so I have to pull up Task Manager and close it from there. It's gotten to the point where I can't even put a picture on the timeline without it freezing up again.
Since I like to make videos to put on YOUTUBE, this is a REALLY big inconvenience. Can someone help me?

Here's the information about my computer.
(I copied this from the control panel. Not sure which info to put...)

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Hewlett-Packard
Pavilion
Intel (R)
Celeron (R)
CPU 1.80GHz
1.79GHz, 256 MB of RAMJust CURIOSITY - do you GET asked to submit an error report to MS.? if so - can you glean any info from that as to details.Quote from: ChrisXPPro on November 22, 2008, 06:47:44 PM

Yes, it asks me if I would like to SEND an error report. I'll try it again and when it freezes (which it will) I'll see what info I can get. When making large videos/movies with Windows Movie Maker, it will freeze a couple times, which is why you should save regularly.out of curiousty, how much memory does your computer have?

The windows movie maker coming with windows vista has not had a problem EXCEPT that it's slow (but that's only because my processor's not the best at handling video encoding/publishing quickly)
