1.	Solve : function keys don't seem to be handshaking on new computer running DOS program?
Answer» I have an old 386 computer that runs a DOS program for a test machine I have. I had the hard drive CLONED over to a newer machine with PS/2 keyboard CONNECTIONS.. Everything seems to work fine except there is one program that I need to run to download some software to my test machine and it requires the use of the function keys. When I use the F2 key on the new cloned computer it returns an error " VAL string isn't a proper number" The old 386 machine WORKS fine. Is there something on the newer machine that isn't HANDSHAKING properly with the test machine? Is there anything I can change? The cloned software on the drives seems identical. I've eliminated the leyboard being the problem as I can use both the old AT 5 pin or the newer PS/2 keyboard with my old 386 machine and they both work fine.If it happens on both KEYBOARDS it's either the App itself...or the language layout/setting on the keyboard. Does Shift F2 help ? ?
