Answer» I turned off my machine, and then unplugged all of the cables as I had a NEW computer desk I was putting together. Once the desk was built, I plugged everything back in, and my CPU now won't turn on. I did not hit it, or drop it, so I'm very confused.
My assumption is the POWER supply, but I don't understand why that would have stopped working. As well, this PC has the power button built into the case at the top, and I can't figure out how to remove the casing without breaking it. I was thinking maybe the connection came LOOSE from the button, but again, I was very gentle in moving teh machine.
Does anyone have any ideas so I don't have to CALL Gateway and pay minimum $99.99 to get them to tell me I NEED to buy new parts?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Can't find Gateway DX6822, Gateway has no listing; Google comes up blank. It's a 4822...Do you actually have power going to the computer from the mains? I don't mean just plugged in.
