Solve : Gateway Laptop won't power on? |
|
Answer» ??I was adding more memory and forgot to remove the battery. The laptop powered on, but would not boot. I realized the battery was present and turned the power off. Now the laptop will not power on at all! I USED the adapter, on another laptop and it WORKED perfectly. What has caused the laptop not to power on?Did you GROUND yourself before you went into the computer? You could try and take out the new ram that you added, hopefully that is what the problem is....Yeah either what "iamtonsoffrun247" said or your motherboard could be dead.I came across a fix on another website (toshiba FORUM) that involved REMOVING the adapter and battery, wait a minute or so and things then went back to normal....make certain the ram is well seated also.Thank you for your help. I hope the motherboard isn't dead, but if so, thats what I get! I will try to remove the battery and adapter, to see if that works. |
