We've just had a nice UPGRADE which appears to be running sweet but when we try to run games, such as Civ 4, the computer crashes and restarts. We've tried the following - reinstalling the card and updating DRIVERS to latest drivers; re-installing the game, changing resolution to the card's preferred res and nothing has WORKED. We also updated the board and went to 2gig of RAM.
Is there any change we need to make to the BIOS when a vid card goes from 64mb to 512mb? It's a new motherboard too so I presume not... but are there any selections in the BIOS we can try to alter to get it going? Whats that buffer setting?
Also how do we even know for sure it IS the new vid card? Is there a system scan we can perform to MAYBE find and correct any errors?
would really APPRECIATE any help!!
