Solve : Getting a better graphics card- Any suggestions??

Answer»

I would like to get a new graphics card (see my comp. specs, you will see why ), but the problem is, the graphics card is integrated in my mobo. Can I get a better card?Without knowing what MBoard you have the specs are useless for a vid card recommendation...You must have a AGP slot on your motherboard. See these links for cards:

The only thing in question is this, what do you want to do.

Is it for games, if so, which ones?

Why do you think that you need a better video card? Quote from: patio on July 20, 2009, 09:47:26 AM

Some P4's are shipped with PCI Express or even no VGA card slot. That was my point...
However it seems the OP has been abducted by Aliens so we'll wait and see. They got me too. I narrowly escaped an *censored* probe.  Did you still TRACK the stats for CH while you were gone ? ?
I'm sure the numbers are way up there.... I'm just really thankfull that I haven't been abducHee Heeee...I was abducted. They took me on their UFO Thingy and starved me. Then they took me to their home planet (Thank god it had Internet).  I returned to Earth today. Hope they don't abduct me again

It's for games, the integrated on-board card has 32 MB of video memory. My games require 64-128 MB minimum Nice bump...In a related event-

One day I was walking to the kitchen for some
golden grahams
when I accidentally stepped into an alternate dimension
and soon I was abducted by some Aliens that kinda looked like Jamie Fohl
they sucked out my internals organs
and they took some polaroids
and said I was a darn good sport
and as a way of saying thank you, they offered to transport me back to any point in history that I would care to go.

So I had them send me back to last Thursday NIGHT so I could pay the phone bill on time, just then the floating disembodied head of kernel saunders started YELLING.... Quote from: ThomasTheXPUser on August 02, 2009, 05:28:01 PM

What games are you trying to play? I have a Nvidia 9500GT, certainly not a Crysis card but it does well for Command and Conquer 3, Battlefield  and Age of EMPIRES 3 type games. It's a decent low power, integrated graphics card replacement.

I am wondering how the aliens are. Did they treat you alright or did they do you in too much?
