My PC has Windows 7, an Intel Core 2 DUO Cpu E7200 @2.53 GHz and 2 gb ram. according to dxdiag, my directX Version is dx11. My current video card is NVidia Ge Force 8400gs.basically, i just wanted to know if there were any good graphic cards for me so that i could upgrade my PC and also games in the future like Just Cause 2, batman arkham city, call of duty mw3, assassins creed revelations and so on.

Sometimes, it would be better to buy a brand new computer, rather than spending a lot of money and efforts on upgrading that old computer.Donate the old PC. Tax write off. That is not a horribly bad Video Card. I would look at upgradng your ram as much as you can. The Duo Core is a little behind the times but most cpu's are a few months after they are released.If you are looking to PLAY games.... the 8400gs is at the bottom of the line.

videocard in TOWN, just the best videocard for my specs. And gaming is right. I am considering Radeon HD 6450.

You might as well go with a GT 240 GDDR5 version, GT 430 GDDR5 version(only made by Gainward and Palit) or a HD 5570. If you are willing to spend a little more you might want to GET the GT 440 or a HD 5670.For those games you want to play, you are definately going to want more RAM and a better Graphics Card. I would look into the system requirements/recommendations for the games and see if you can hold out until you can afford the right parts. If you have to wait a month or two longer - it would not be as bad as spending all your moeny now on something you wouldn't be happy with, only to have to save up all the longer until you can get something you are happy with. Other good news - the longer you save up, the lower prices wll be.is the Nvidia GTX 480 worth the money? And how much power does it need to be happy?

No. If you look at my first post with the picture you'll see that you would be more JUSTIFIED in getting the GTX 560Ti.

It consumes 450W on full load. nVidia recommends having at least a 600W PSU for this beast.
