Solve : GOOD HD Places?

Answer»

Anyone know where to get good HARD Drives between about 80 gb an 160 gb IDE an SATA.  Need multiple drives so hopeing to find some cheap.  Maxtor or western digital. External or Internal? Some what both more internal, you seem paranoid.Depends where you live really - I myself don't like Maxtor ones - I also thought Maxtor and WD made all there drives the same... I cannot see them deliberately making good and bad hard drives.

In one of my computers, I have had a hard drive for 12 years, its sounds abit like "Louis Armstrong" but it is STILL working.I use maxtor alot around here.  West coast of usWell I'm from the United Kingdom, so by the time you paid for shipping, it wouldn't be worth it.If I was getting a new Hard Drive, I would just go down to the computer store and get one.  Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on June 30, 2008, 06:37:28 PM

I would do the same.  I live in a remote location, the closet thing is a walmart which is thridy minutes from my house.  Which is a problem when I can probably get it CHEAPER online. Quote from: squall_01 on June 30, 2008, 06:54:04 PM

Walmart seems cheap enough, so why don't you get it from there. I mean, 30 minutes, it isn't exactly a 100 miles away is it. I would call 30 minutes away, my LOCAL store.

End of the day, I just don't see this has a hardware fault. It is when you cant exatly drive.  A side from the fact its not a super walmart or anything.  So the drives are bigger then what I want.  Quote
