Answer» Hello my name is Jesper. Now since I'm using this computer for gaming and I have had it for 3-4 years it is getting pretty outdated, so I decided to put in some more RAM and a new graphic card (the other parts of it is good enough for the games I PLAY) The problem comes to the PCI-bus part. The graphic card that I have been thinking about buying needs PCI-Express. Now I am not sure if I have it or not. I have windows vista 32 bit (Yes I know that is not good for gaming but sadly I don't want to spend too many money on CHANGING to something else than Intel premium D) I have a Nvidia Geforce 7300 LE right now. I figured it would be easy to figure out but I was troubled. Under "DEVICE Manager" it says "PCI-bus" but then it said "Intel(R) 945G/GZ/p/PL PCI Express Root Port - 2771) and then also Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) PCI Express-root port - 27D0)
So all in all I would like to know if my pc can use graphic cards that need PCI-Express.
Thanks for reading this. Also PLEASE tell me if you need more info. What motherboard do you have ? ?you old card is a PCI-Express and I assume it works in your computer, so the new card you want to buy will fit into your motherboard
