RDgggit really just boils down to your budget, how much are you willing to spend? And what are you going to be doing on it?

What game may I ask?NVIDIA Geforce 8500GT runs fine on 300W PSU (I have one I am using now)

NVIDIA Geforce 8600GT should run fine on a 300W PSU. I have asked XFX and they replied saying 300W PSU should be ok and nvidia.com SAYS that too. But don't run too many other things requiring power in your system, that's what people have told me, otherwise GET new quality higher watt PSU for safety.

Ask someone else if you're considering ATI, I don't know too much about ATI cards for 300W PSU's.i would not limit the type of video card he can get just because of his PSU wattage limitation. if a certain video card requires a higher wattage PSU, it would simply be best to also purchase a new PSU with it.Budget - I don't know really, suppose i'm looking for what i want at a reasonable price.

I'm going to be playing games on it, the game i've GOT is LOST

I could upgrade the PSU there's a sale on in my local PC World.

Does the NVIDIA Geforce 8500GT have the Shader 3.0well, new PSU is good. I don't mean that you can't get a new PSU, but I meant that 8500GT is a good card if you want to keep the 300W PSU.

Otherwise, get a new PSU and a better card!
