I have been upgrading and maintaining computers for friends and family for a few years now and never had any problems. Until now.

I was given an old HP Vectra VE 5/XX Series 4 computer which i was going to strip for spares. I can't get the case open.    I have looked on the internet and cannot find any MANUALS. The only manual i FOUND was for the desktop version, but i have the minitower.
  I've tried using that manual as a guide line but to no AVAIL, i don't want to force the case open without knowing the correct method.

Thanks for any helpDon't know about your HP minitower but I have a Packard Bell minitower with no visible screws to gain entry to it.

I have to pull the front cover off by hand to reveal the four screws holding the side panels in place.

With these screws out the TWO side panels just slide FORWARDS and off.Maybe this manual will give you a clue HP VECTRA

Can you see two clips on either side of the front cover? If so raise them to take the front cover off.
