Answer» i have micron Computer with hard Hdsk 20G & running WINDOW xp special edition & some body gave me 80G to enlarge my hard DISK space .While i try to connect it as slave it not work. So how can i use this hard Disk with my computer i wanna to have 100G hard disk.I'm afraid it doesn't work this way. You have 20GB already in your machine and you added another 80GB. This means you will have 2 discs in My Computer, most likely a C:\ and a D:\, one with 20GB and another one with 80GB.yea ! CO2 i know that hard disk memory can not be added just to say z total memeory what i will have. But i want to have two hard disk on my machineReread my post above... Also check to see if the other drive is jumpered to "master w/slave present".Quote from: patio on June 01, 2008, 09:55:39 AM Is the drive formatted ? ?Sir I just wanna ask, why did you say that the 80g is faster than 20g hard diskQuote Sir I just wanna ask, why did you say that the 80g is faster than 20g hard disk he said it "may" be faster. Quote You can also use the "clone" utility included to clone the 20G to the 80G which may be a faster drive and once everything is running properly then format the 20G and use it as a storage slave device... you will really not see any harddrives smaller then 80gb's for sale nowadays. therefore, the 20gb harddrive has to be fairly OLD. due to the 20gb harddrives age, the 80gb might include newer technology that increases the harddrives performance, such as having a larger memory cache, a larger memory bandwidth, and/or having a faster platter rotation.Ok..,thanks for the information |
