Answer» I have a Hitachi 100Gb 2.5" HD running inside my laptop. I also have an M-Audio TRANSIT USB sound card. I have used this soundcard with this laptop and HD for several years now with no problems. However, over the LAST few days I have noticed that the sound playback is regularly interrupted by hard DISK activity. Whenever the HD light flickers the sound playback is interrupted - it either mutes or more usually stutters or stalls. This means that the sound card is now practically unusable. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers, but to no avail. Can anyone HELP in any way? Thank you.What model is the laptop?Sounds as if that card is going South...do you know anyone with a laptop you can test it on to confirm this ? ?
