Answer» This started with the mouse freezing up. Then after a soft BOOT, got this message:

After that it shut down and now does not recognise there is a hard drive
does ANYONE know what this means. Please help. :-?Remove the RAM and reseat. If you get the message again, run memtest (free at www.memtest86.com) Test each stick individually and then all together. Run each test for about an HOUR or so.

You can also test your hard drive with free diagnostics from the manufacturer's site. Each program will fit on a single floppy.
