Solve : hard drive error while chkdsk?

Answer»

i have a seagate baracuda 80GBs and now...when it starts, chkdsk runs before the windows could start and it says CORRUPT MASTER FILE TABLE!!! and the chkdsk aborts! what does this mean?Distorted:

It means you need to either fix the MBR USING the Windows recovery console on the Windows XP CD, or REFORMAT the hard drive using the Windows XP CD.

Do you have the Windows XP CD and would you like to try one of these options?
