Answer» OK...I had a hard drive failure, however the data was recovered and put on a dvd. i then had a new hard drive installed and reinstalled the XP os from factory RECOVERY disks. My question is..how do I now get all the saved data to the new hard drive? There are 6115 files...is there any way to "save all". It depends on how the data was saved...what program did you USE ? ? If you look at the DVD in Explorer is the file STRUCTURE still there ? ? i.e. folders , documents etc ? ? If it is you may want to TRY using the Files and Settings TRANSFER Wizard which is built into XP. Here Ya Go...
