Answer» i moved to a new apartment, and when i TURNED on the computer it couldnt DETECT one of my hard drives (i have 2). it happened to me twice before, after electrical blackouts, but it then went back to normal after a few hours...
i TRIED to disconnect and reconnect all CABLES and it still doesnt work. everything else, including the other hard drive, works fine.Have you checked all the cables? (IDE/SATA , Power?) Secondly, do your BIOS detect the drive?there are 2 cables there, i disconnected and reconnected both...
i was talking about the bios, it only detects the other hard drive. i tried to look at the bios settings but i really have no idea what they mean...Is the "two" cables a WIDE cable(IDE) or a narrow cable(SATA) and the other one for power? Have you made sure that they are connected to the motherboard are PSU respectively?
