Solve : hard drive not seen?

Answer»

my known good, INTERNAL 160 gb sata drive is not seen by my desktop. It will "spin up" if i disconect the SERIAL line and leave power line on. If i hook up both lines it does not spin. I have already checked to see if my serial PORTS are enabled in bios. hard drive is not displayed in device mananger.Does BIOS see the drive?Which SATA port are you connected to on the MBoard ? ?
Have you installed the SATA/RAID drivers from the MBoard DRIVER CD ? ?It could be the SATA cable. Try another ONE first. If it is not the cable, try plugging it into the other port. Does BIOS detect it now?Quote from: earthdog on November 27, 2008, 07:05:25 PM

No, my sata drive is not seen in bios,I have tryed both ports. How do I get motherboard sata/raid driver/disck?
The drivers will be on your MBoard Driver cd...if you have none grab them from their site.
It will not be recognised without the proper drivers.
