Could be about anything, I thought my 32MB Nvidia Nforce was amazing. 3 years ago. So what'll it be? What game are you running? Did you update your videocard DRIVERS to the latest avaible? Did you patch your game? What MAKES you think it is your hard disk? Seems to me like you might NEED BETTER COOLING.
