Solve : hard drive problem (i think)?

Answer»

ok, so i had a 120 gig 7200 rpm western digital hard drive, it was working great, then it starts acting wierd. it'd be fine with little FILES (music and whatnot) but when installing games or software it'd say a file was corrupt. so i figured it was getting old and decided to just buy a new hard drive. so i bought 2. a WD 10000 rpm RAPTOR (37 gig) and a seagate 7200 (80 gig) the problems are still occuring. it could be a software problem too, but i dont think so, i'm working off a fresh installation of windows xp i've scan disked and defragged but the problem percists. with the file i'm currently trying to install i GET the error at a differnt part of the installation everytime i reboot. i know the files not corrupt because i've installed it on other computers. any help would me much appreciatedyou might try testing or swapping out the memory... they can cause all KINDS of issues.

what's the program? And what is the exact error message?when installing wow i get an error SAYING the file is corrupt i'll copy and paste the exact error message later right now i have to go to workwhere did you get WoW? Is it the downloadable from the site? Or is this a retail copy? If it's the downloadable... try downloading it again.. but from another site...its a hardware problem, its in the software, whats the name of the program that your trying to install??
