Answer» Can you switch hard drives from one COMPUTER to ANOTHER? I have one that my wife and i USE all the time and i have a another computer that has a better chipset in it and i'd like to just take it from our old and put in my new one. But when i tried it didnt load it, why not?Because any Windows VERSION since WinME cannot simply be swapped from one machine to another and expected to work... This is by design because Bill Gates wanted it that way... Tell us what your goals are for this as there are a few different approaches... If it's just DATA retrieval there are ways... If you want this drive to work on the new machine there are other approaches... Let us know.
