Answer» hi,
I've recently run into DIFFICULTIES with my 1TB samsung F1 spinpoint harddrive...again in January the partion table wiped itself and i was able to recover the partition (THANKS to this FORUM )and the harddrive worked fine.
Last week though the harddrive became corrupt and was in RAW FORMAT. i recovered the data but found it was reading at 7-8MB a second. and i thought at the time this was because of it being corrupt. (before the corruption the read/write SPEEDS were fine)
After recovering and formating the harddrive the read/write speeds haven't improved.
Are these signs the harddrive is dieing/near dead or could this be fixable in some way?
