Solve : Hardrive Transplant?

Answer»

I had a thought and I wondered if anybody can say whether this is a realistic thought or not.

I have an old PC from 2000 which is probably going to be thrown out. Hasn't been used in two years, all it NEEDS is a motherboard change, but it's rather a waste of time considering the decrepit state of all the components. I'd like to keep the files that are currently on the PC though.

Is it possible that I COULD take the hardrive out and then INSERT it into something like, for example, an external hardrive, and use it with my current PC, to take the files off, or perhaps even as extra storage?
