Answer» Ok, guys.... I have (PROBABLY) simple question: Can I connect (is it connectible) MSI dvd-rom model d16 (ms-8216s)
to
GIGABYTE M68MT-S2 Motherboard That DVD-ROM is IDE and this motherboard does not have integrated IDE. If you were in a bind and NEEDED to use that DVD ROM and had a PCI IDE Controller CARD, you could populate the PCI slot with a IDE Controller and use this DVD Rom with this motherboard. OR use a SATA to IDE adapter between the SATA port of this motherboard and the IDE DVD-ROM.
PERSONALLY, I'd just buy a new SATA DVD-RW drive for like $25 and use the standard SATA 2.0 port that this motherboard has.
