elo...my scanner was working properly after i installed it on my computer...but weeks later...whenever i scan..the scanned IMAGE is entirely black..i tried to uninstall it the reinstall it...but the same thing happens..what shall i do?well this could be one or a few things.  Before you scan check your SETTINGS, doulbe check your contrast and brightness ratios, also, it could be your drivers for this device.  If it is plug and play check in device manager whether or not it has a yellow exlamation by it.  Next thing to try..try it on a different pc...But my guess when scanning open the lid ans see if the light is coming on.  and the scanner is ACTUALLY moving.  If one of these or both are going on, you burned out the motor in your scanner and time to get a new one....but try the drivers first and your settings.well i THINK the driver's fine as well as the settings...no exclamation on device manager...the scanner is moving and there's light...but it just won't scan...so time to buy new one...how come i burned the motor? so i should know to not burn my next scanner...tnx
