Answer» well i have 3 HDDs hooked up in my computer, i just reinstalled WIN xp, and now XP is recognizing two of them, but it wont let me access them at all.
i look in hardware profiler and it SHOWS the two, and even says theres no problem with them, but im stumped as to how to access them.
if anyone has had this problem or knows some steps i should take please let me know ASAP ... thank you!We would need some details. Are these other drives blank? Were they password protected? How were they formatted and jumpered? Anything to work with?no, they're not blank, or PW protected.
jumpered as slaves, one possibly set as cable select which would make it the secondary master ... kinda hard for me to check, im using that computer at the moment Give This a Shoti cant take ownership of a file i cant find. Device Manager shows the HDDs asworking PROPERLY, but i cant find them in Windows Explorer or in Command Prompt even ...are there no more ideas? IVE tried a new IDE cable INCASE there was a problem with the old one, but its still doing the same thing!! this is really agrivating Quote from: gildnao on April 08, 2007, 10:36:57 AM no, they're not blank, or PW protected.

CS has nothing to do with a secondary master. Exactly how they are jumpered is important.
