Solve : HDD failed to boot?

I imaged my 40GB HDD using Power QUEST drive image Software.
After the image downloads, I restarted the system but the system did not boot from the HDD. A blinking cursor KEPT on flashing on the upper left corner of the screen. Shutdown and restart so many times but same results.

Can somebody help me to TROUBLESHOOT this issue.

Thanks much!check JUMPER SETTINGS to master and check that the bios sees it..and check the ide cable.
