I think I'd want the BOTTOM side, the side showing the circuit board, down. That way, it's not exposed to dust (harder to clean than the top side) and I think you don't want to RISK things touching that side of the drive while it's running.Good point, Soybean. Also I suppose it's a good idea to keep the drive horizontal, not inclined at an angle, so the spindle bearings get lubed consistently. |
