i have a compaq presario sr1917cl, when i turn it on the fans turn on ,but the monitor does not come on.it also beeps about three beeps over & over. i have changed monitor & monitor cable , i tried changing power supply
with no luck. how can i tell if HDD is bad or motherboard.

Power down the COMPUTER... Unplug it.. Remove the ram and re-seat it..Try powering up..
