please help me...im using the maxtor diamondmax plus 9 with 80 GB ata/133 and my os is windows xp service pack 2. My COMPUTER spec, pentium 4 with 1.6mhz. ok this is my first try using the 80 gb hdd without update the cmos...just installed the os and leave it untill it finished. so the problems here are...the hdd just show only 32 gb, where the others...can i get it without formatted the drive.....?/You are trying to format it as FAT32, I'll BET. If you format it as NTFS you will get the whole drive in one partition. Does the BIOS see it as a full 80 meg drive?Check the pins at the back of the HDD left of the power supply. There must be 8 pins in two horizontal ROWS. Now on the hdd or in the manual or the publisher's website must be the configuration for MASTER, SLAVE, 32 GB and more.
