Solve : hdmi not working?

Answer»

got an msi a75a- g55 motherboard with an amd a6 apu. now i'm trying to connect my computer to my phillips 180p lcd monitor through the hdmi port INTEGRATED in the motherboard but cant get any picture. what have i done wrong?Do you also have a video card INSERTED in the motherboard?no, i only got the video ports integrated in the motherboard. Is there a VGA port and are you able to get a picture using that?

If so, try going into the BIOS and see if there's a setting for VGA/HDMI output. This is usually detected automatically, but just check to be sure.i get picture using the vga port, but none of the graphic settings in bios help me get picture on the lcd monitor.Does the HDMI port work in Windows? You might have to use AMD Catalyst Control Center to SET your computer to output to the HDMI port along with the VGA.Seeing that you're running 7, try Win+P to change presentation.Quote from: joakim1234 on September 04, 2011, 06:00:29 PM

Are you using an HDMI to DVI converter? That monitor doesn't have an HDMI input port.
http://www.home-theater-automation-and-electronics.com/HDMItoDVIConverter.htmlsorry "phillips 1080p" and it does have an hdmi port. i use amd vision engine control center and it finds the montor but won't show no picture. i have tried changing it from extended desktop to duplicate, i have tried with only hdmi i have tried using catalyst control center, i have tried hotfixes for vision engine control center and i have tried changing the settings in bios with no luck. What's the model of the monitor? 1080p isn't a model. The model will be something like 22PFL4505D or 40PFL5505D or the like. It might even just have a series number like 5500 or 7700 or something.model no: 37pfl4606h/12
