Answer» Hello, I purchased a HP Pavilion P7-1439 Desktop l AMD A10-5700 3.40GHz. I want to add a heatsink FAN to it, to prevent it from getting hot. Was the problem with my other PC. What do I need to know as to what KIND of heatsink fan is compatable with it? Not sure if this helps but here is my pc's spec page. Please and thank you. Your machine already has a CPU cooler which includes a heatsink and fan so you don't need to worry about this. If you are referring to the little heatsink on your motherboard, that is just your chipset and won't GET hot enough to even come close to requiring a fan. When it comes to mass manufactured systems such as your HP, you really don't need to worry about cooling. HP has teams of engineers when they design these systems where they TAKE cooling into account.
