i have a problem w/ my windows 7.
1) the person who built this pc has a license to buy a program and put it on many computers. mine is one of them.
OK
80% of the time when i turn on the power button it lights up green, but the amber light for the hard DRIVE does not come on.
the bio's pop up w/ a MESSAGE - "detecting ide channels" and there it sits, doing nothing.
i push the power button off and wait awhile.
the same bio's screen COMES on.
i wait. nothing.
turn BACK on, while hitting f8 key.
nothing. same bio's screen.

i turn offIs this a sata hd? Have you made sure your hd is properly connected?Are you getting any beeps?
